I'm going for a chop, or maybe a close SHAVE!

Hi Friends and Fam! 

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. 

I have been growing my hair for the longest time, for no particular reason besides being a bit lazy but also to see how long I could get it. Since last year I've been telling friends and family that I would be chopping off my hair. By 'chopping it,' if I reach beyond my fundraising goal by my birthday on the 26th of April I'll be shaving my head! This is much to my mothers dismay, but it's been something I've been wanting to do for a while.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. 

If you can make a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.

It’s 9:30pm and I thought I would give you all an update about my birthday fundraiser!! 


Today I bought some things that’s gonna help with Sunday’s Live stream! 👀 do you see the clippers? 🙊


I can’t THANK YOU SO MUCH for reaching our first goal of $500 mid yesterday! Let’s see if we can get to 50% by the end of tonight, I want you all to know that should we get to $1500 I will 100% shave my head! 💇🏽‍♀️

Thoughts and rambling:

Hi I'm Kathy, and I'm an over thinker!

You've probably thought then why are you donating your hair with a potential for it to be shaven? Trust, it's been years coming and I just had to wait for it to grow out and also to build up the courage to do it. 

To be fair I'm the type of person who has to way up the pros and cons of things and investigate everything before I actually action anything.. so basically means I'm slow on the uptake but once I've made a decision I go all in. 

So if you would like incentive to donate, or just want to participate in one way or another heres how you can share in on the love:
- any amount will be given a shout out on my insta @itskaaaahtee 
- $20 - $49 you'll get a small calligraphy piece I've made whilst we've all be isolating. 
- If you donate more than $50 - $100 you'll get a dedicated braid/ ponytail plus a personalised piece of artwork. 
- $200+ I'll sing a song and post it... (any type of performing makes me nervous) - also low key know no one would dare...

All in all, I just want to share with my friends and family the joy and change I'll be taking in less than 4 days time. We might not be able to spend it together but we can contribute to something together.
