We are doing the Hair with Heart challenge and we need your help!

We have made the decision to take on the Hair with Heart challenge and change lives!

Variety – The Children’s Charity supports kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.

We will be fundraising to help raise vital funds for Australian kids in need, including kids who are experiencing permanent hair loss from medical conditions such as alopecia and cancer.

Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

My Hair By Mackenzie

Hi my name is Mackenzie I am 10 years old and I have been growing my hair for a while and have decided to donate my hair to cancer.

I don’t know much about cancer, and know no one with cancer but I have heard stories of kids with cancer and how their life becomes very different and how they can lose their hair from the treatment that they have to have.

I started wondering what I can do to help. Then I found a website that people can donate their hair. At first I didn’t know how my hair could help kids with cancer, so I started researching and learned that cancer can kill you and is very serious and sad.

I learnt that donating my hair can help kids with cancer because most people with cancer lose all their hair. Which makes them think bad about them self and feel left out, so donating my hair can make wigs for kids with cancer which makes them feel more normal and fit in.

My Mullet By Riley

My name is Riley Hogan. I am 12 years old and have been growing my mullet because my friends also had mullets and encouraged me to do the same.  

I have been growing it for over 3 years now and my mum asked me when I wanted to cut my mullet off. She also mentioned that I could donate it to cancer, and I thought and decided to cut my mullet off for cancer or for people with no hair. 

I think we should all be treated the same way no matter if we look different, speak different or think different.
