Nadia's Big Chop

Watch me snip, watch me nay nay!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off approx 35.5cms!

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Few days later...

Monday 31st May
So, a few days later the word has gotten around! I’ve raised $133 so far 30/05/21.

Received a cash donation! Thanks Amy!

Shout out to Leika, Dani & Brooke for always donating - it means so much!

Thank you to everyone who has also shared my post 😍

I’m still getting asked how I feel about the whole situation - theres just so many emotions still.

Happy - I know it’s going to a worthy cause and to kids in need.

Nervous - I haven’t been to a hairdresser since 2010/2011 for a hair cut.

Only 34 days to go to the final chop & to raise another $867

It’s official

Friday 28th May
So, I finally created this page and posted it on my facebook!

It’s official - my locks are getting the chop!

I’ve always admired my hair , the colour & the length.

When professionally getting a hair do style - whether it was a braid or a braid bun it would take hours.

Sorry to the hairdressers!

Growing up - mum never wanted me to dye my hair. The fights we would get into cause my friends dyed their hair but I wasn’t allowed.

Looking back, I now appreciate it as my hair colour has stayed the same and you can sometimes see red / blonde streaks in the sun - definitely from my Spanish side m.

I’ll definitely miss my locks but it will always grow back.

In other news I received my first donation! Wohoooooo.

Thanks Ness ❤️

Thanks for all the support
