Meika's Hair with Heart challenge

I'm taking the chop to change lives

Cutting my hair is a small sacrifice for a big course

My Grandad died from cancer, I don't remember much about him but maybe if cancer didn't take him from me I could have grown up knowing him. Because of cancer my Dad never knew what it feels like to be loved by your father.

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. They did nothing to deserve this lifestyle and my hair will grow back, cutting my hair is a small sacrifice for a bigger course.

I'll be chopping off 35.5cm on the 24th of December (Christmas Eve). I chose to do it on Christmas Eve because I remember waiting up for Santa, I want to wake up on Christmas knowing I have made a difference in someone else's life.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Please help me give others a wig because to them it's a sign of normality and by donating you are helping fund research so that one day those children an grow up and see all this world has to offer.
