I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
Back in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, I recall myself sitting in the waiting room of Modbury Hospital awaiting to be tested for COVID-19. Whilst I was there, I saw a child who was quite young who had loss of hair and was telling her mum how much she liked Moana from Disney's hair. This made me quite emotional, so I thought to myself, why not? Why not make a difference.
So, in the last four years, I made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be aiming to chopping off 35cm, approximately at the end of September in 2024.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.
