I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

Last year, Nadia donated 16 inches of her hair & she is now my hero and my inspiration.  She saw a need to look after others & did not hesitate to meet that need. It has cost her dearly & she has been bullied on & off for the last 12 months because of her short hair.  Regardless she does not regret the decision she made. 

So what I’m saying is that when I grow up, I want to be more like my Nadia.

I'll be chopping off 20 inches on 2 November 2021 (COVID willing 😆).

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. It’s Tomorrow!!

Monday 1st Nov
Tomorrow is the day that all my hair goes! I’m pretty nervous, however, I have been thinking about how this is my choice and how there are kids out there who don’t get the choice. Their hair just leaves their head without their consent. 
Being a kid is a pretty tough gig & then you throw in a medical condition, that gig gets a whole lot tougher. Especially when that condition alters your appearance so drastically, like losing your hair. I can only imagine how those kids would feel. How vulnerable & in some cases I’m sure, ashamed & belittled. 
I made this decision, so I can provide kids with practical support. I want them & their families to know that they are cared for & thought of as they walk through life. 
My hair will be donated to Hair with Heart & used (along with a few other people’s hair donations) to make a wig for a kid who has suffered hair loss due to a medical condition. 
Any funds donated will go directly to Variety The Children’s Charity to provide kids with medical conditions, disabilities or special needs with equipment & assistance to make their journey through this life a little easier.
I would love if you could join me in supporting them by making a donation & wishing me all the luck tomorrow as a chop off 7 years worth of hair!
