I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off 40cm on the 7th of December 2020.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Hello!

I have created this event because I have proudly and nervously signed up to Hair with Heart and I will be chopping off and donating (40cm off my hair).

I have decided after many years of procrastination, to donate my hair for this wonderful cause.  The charity I have chosen to donate to is Variety, with my donated hair a wig maker will be able to make a custom wig for kids and adults who hair lost their hair due to a medical conditions such as alopecia and cancer.

I am shooting for the stars with my fundraising goal of $2500, I would really like to make a difference for kids living with cancer, alopecia and other health conditions. The donations contribute to programs and equipment, wheelchairs, inclusive playgrounds for the disabled and of course wigs.

I am asking for your help and would really appreciate any donations you can afford. Every little bit helps so let’s make a difference and change these kid’s lives. I have provided a link at the bottom for donations.

I plan on cutting my hair December 7th, 2020. I will be recording it live on this event for everyone to see the fear in my eyes as I lose my luscious locks haha! I’m very excited for the day to come and the more people that get involved the better.

I am grateful to be surrounded by amazing and supportive friends, family, colleagues and I would be so thankful if you could please share my event and help me reach out to as many people as possible to really make a difference.
