I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off approx 15" sometime in May.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. Short hair!!
Saturday 16th MayI ended up getting 17 INCHES of my hair chopped off instead of 15 HAHA
But not mad though. I'm glad that the hair will be going to a child who has lost their hair due to a long-term medical condition. Just knowing that doing something as simple as chopping my hair can have a huge impact on a child's life makes me happy.
I did film the whole process of chopping my hair and donating it. I will need to put all the footage together and I will post it up as soon as it's edited.
I'm really loving my new hair - I feel so badass! It's longer at the front and shorter at the back. It's also asymmetrical on the side - my left side is longer than my right side. I kinda feel like Jane Lane from Daria the cartoon LOL.
I think I, however, a little sad that I won't be able to do any IGTV for casual long hair hairstyle tutorials. I had a couple of styles I wanted to do but it's too late now. I guess I'll just have to do some short hair hairstyles instead.
