We are chopping off our hair!
We have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating our hair (the boys going for a buzz cut) to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
We will be chopping off (over 1 meter of hair together) on (26/11/21).
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.
This is very personal to us, as one of our close friends was diagnosed with Alopecia at a young age and has lost her hair several times after trying multiple treatments over the years, including; steroids, trial medications, medication to lower her immune system just to name a few. She has gone through wigs, extensions ect. So witnessing the struggles that she has faced, we want to do this for her and for the other children/people that have to deal with similar challenges in their every day lives. We hope that we together, can make a difference.
