I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off (min 35.5cm) on 31 March 2021!
Wigs from real hair are hard to find when you need them. My late Mother used one, when she was undergoing Chemotherapy for Ovarian Cancer. She was lucky to find a wig library at RPAH. Having hair is so important for one' s self image, just to distract you from the battle that you are facing, especially when it is cancer. I have spent a couple of years growing my hair to the required length, so I can donate it. It is now long enough to do so! Maintaining healthy hair requires commitment, so please dig deep and think about how it would feel if you lost your hair for whatever reason. Many thanks for your help!
