Fraser's Hair with Heart challenge

The time has come for a haircut.

People,

Those of you that I meet on a regular or even semi-regular basis, will have likely deduced over time, that I've not had a haircut for a while and as such, look like one of those pesky beatniks.

That is because...

I've been growing my hair out with the view of donating it and after grossly underestimating how long that would take, it is now long enough to donate.

I will, therefore, be shaving my head with the view of donating it to Variety; a children's charity. You may also know it as 'Hair With Heart.'

My hair will be used to make wigs for those who have lost their hair due to a medical condition.

Variety helps thousands of kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with a disability to live, laugh and learn through various grants and programs including granting wigs to kids that have lost their hair due to a medical condition, for example, alopecia. Wigs give these kids, more confidence and better self-esteem so they can feel like themselves again. But wigs can cost thousands and last only 1-2 years.

I’m aiming to raise $1000 'straylian, which is $243,309.98 Zimbabwean dollars or approximately 156.25 Big Macs (exclusive of outrageous Uber Eats surcharge.)

Any donation is, of course welcome, every little bit counts. In return, I promise I won’t 'rattle the tin' with the expectation of you donating your hard-earned money every other week, to a cause I have decided to champion on a whim.

It is also unlikely I will ever grow my hair long again. I don't suit it and my mum doesn't particularly like it, and we all know, Mother's know best.

You can donate at the fundraising page that I created on signing up to this.
