I'm chopping my hair and need your help! Its been a long time coming
Hey ya'll,
Most of you probably have only known me with long hair so i thought it was time to put it to good use. I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off all my hair on the 9th of March and donating to it to Sustainable Salons. They send it directly to wigmakers and to other charitable organisations Variety and the Australia Alopecia Areata Foundation (AAAF) to be made into charitable wigs or to fund life - changing programs.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.
Any donations, however little are greatly appreciated. And if you're feeling especially saucy, any donation over $2 AUD is tax deductable so you can make Sco Mo pay for it and claim it all back on tax come July. That's pretty cash money.
