Hi everyone! I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. I'll be chopping off at least 35.5cm of my hair by early October 2021.

Dear friends, I am sure everyone of you know of someone in your world who has either lost a battle to cancer or is struggling with one. 

I am inspired by a friend of mine, Perlin Soong who has gone to be with the angels due to a rare and aggressive cancer. We were in the same class in high school. He had fought a long and hard battle, but through it all, he remained incredibly positive and brave. He had always been selfless, and very helpful and supportive of all his friends. 

Watching him lose his hair, endure harrowing side effects of chemotherapy, excruciating pain and losing his strength to walk day by day hurts my heart. 

I want his legacy to live on, through other kids who are also struggling in the same way. Therefore, I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off at least 35.5cm by early October 2021

Wigs cost families up to $6000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth.
