I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off 40cm at the end of 2022!
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. I felt a set of eyes on me
Thursday 22nd Dec I remember walking through the hallways of a hospital that I had taken a patient to for an appointment. This was almost 2 years ago. I was practically skipping because it was my last day of work before a few much needed days off. I could feel my long pony tail swishing with every step. It wasn’t long before I felt a set of eyes on me and met the stare of a beautiful young girl (only 14 years old at most) who was wearing a headscarf to cover her bare scalp. She turned to the man who was pushing her wheelchair and said “wow! Her hair is so pretty! That’s how long I want my hair to be later okay Dad?”Thanks for all the support
