I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off roughly 50cm! 

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Big chop is booked in for Saturday morning 🥰 Nervous and excited because I haven’t seen myself with short hair for about 9 years.

Wow!! I’ve almost reached my goal in 24 hrs 😊 I can’t thank everyone enough. Thank you for all the love and support! You people are the real legends! I really can’t put into words how grateful I am. I truely am touched from the generosity.

Those who know me well know how much I absolutely love my long locks. I am extremely grateful that I can grow strong and healthy hair. When I left school I decided I would grow my hair because I always had short growing up.

About 3 or 4 years ago I thought instead of just growing my hair for my own satisfaction I would grow my hair for others that can’t. I gave myself till it reached my butt before I would cut and donate it. 

Well...I’ve finally reached my goal and now it’s time for the chop. Although I don’t want to see my long natural hair go, I know it will be going to a worthy cause and make someone else just as happy as me. It will grow back and I will do it all over again!

In the next couple of weeks I’ll be chopping my locks! I should be able to donate close to 60cm. If you have any spare dollars that you can donate towards this that would be amazing and very much appreciated. If not, next time you think of growing or cutting your hair think about donating it to such a worthy cause.
