I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
Hey everyone! I have made the decision to cut and donate my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off around 45-50cm of hair in October. Hopefully more depending on how long my hair is by then. 🤞
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

I did it!!!
Thursday 17th Nov I’ve done it everyone! The chop is complete! I’ve attached photos and the final length of my donated hair is between 35.5 and 45cm! I’m so happy with the amount I’ve got to donate to people who need it more than I do.

Wednesday 16th Nov Surprise! The big chop is coming sooner than we thought. I booked it in at the beginning of the month and dropped the ball on letting you all know. But tonight’s the night!

Monday 3rd Oct It’s offical! My hair from where I will be cutting it is 45cm long!!! 🤯 I’m so excited to be able to donate so much. I’ll be spending the next week or so looking for someone to cut my hair and booking an appointment. Once I’ve done that I’ll post an update of where and when I’ll be getting the chop done. ☺️
Hair length
Wednesday 21st Sep So hubby did the measuring. The results are in. Whilst in a plait, measuring from my shoulders (this is where I plan to have it cut from) my hair is 40cm long. I’m thinking that out it is longer than that. So the minimum amount I’ll be donating will definitely be over 40cm hopefully closer to 50cm. 🤯
