I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
Growing up, donating my hair has always been something very close to my heart!
I lost my Grandad to cancer when I was just a toddler. Almost every memory he & I shared, he had very little to no hair. As I've grown up, I often look at photographs of us together & have since learnt that during his long journey through chemotherapy treatment he lost all of his hair.
It has been since then that I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone special who has lost their hair, due to a medical condition or treatment. I have been growing my hair to length for 7 years & its now finally time for me to give something back!
I'll be chopping off 35.5cm OR MORE of my hair in NOVEMBER!
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.
