It's finally time for harvest and I need your help!
What started as laziness changed when I discovered that I could make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping it all off (wife says including the beard) on (31 March 2020).
I know just after the worst bushfire season on record is a bad time to ask people to donate money, but if you can spare just a few dollars it could make a real difference to a young person doing it tough.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. Unfortunately beards aren't useful to children but, by making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for taking the time to check out my hair chopping, fund raising campaign to help out kids in need. :)

I'm going early, while I still can! New date is Monday 23 March.
Sunday 22nd MarSo with all of the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 lockdowns and so on at the moment, I have decided to get my hair cut tomorrow while I still can or it might've needed to be postponed for some time.
I'll leave this page open for a week or two if any one would still like to donate but I know it is very uncertain times for a lot of people right now.

I'm just a 46 year old guy who is lucky enough to have a full head (of relatively grey free) hair!

I must admit, it started with laziness and a hatred of getting my hair cut, but then I discovered that my hair might be of use to an awesome young person who has lost their own.
It seemed to me that the most likely candidates for hair donation were women but they were also the most likely to bleach or dye their hair (which seems to be less desirable for wigs) and so I thought that this is something that I should persist with. I just hope it isn't too grey!
The only problem is my wife is going to make me shave the beard too! Oh well, I've gotten away with it for a few years! :P
Wigs from human hair are expensive to make, so if you can, please chuck in a few dollars so that my hair might be worn by an awesome young person.
