I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off the required 35.5cm+!! We plan for the Big Chop to take place on 6th Nov 2021!

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. This is why I have chosen the Fundraising Goal of $6000 to send with my hair. Although every little bit helps!

By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Around 10am on Sunday 14th of November 2021, Annabel, a Grade 5 student and 10 year old child, chopped her waist length hair; in order to donate it to kids in need.

Wow. As her mother I am so proud to know my amazing daughter has done and given so much for those she will never even meet!

Apart from 36cm of her hair being donated, Annabel has raised close FOUR thousand dollars!! All of this money goes toward Variety's many plights and all toward deserving kids, parents and families who deserve a fair go! Annabel has given up her beautiful locks. Can you at least give a share to help us get to our fundraising goal?

Why I'm cutting my hair

Hello, my name is Annabel. I am donating over 35cm of my hair to an organisation called Hair with Heart, I have also started a fundraiser for the Variety - the Children’s Charity. Hair with Heart is a part of Variety.

Variety is a charity that will grant money to kids so they can get the help they need, they could make a wig with my hair I’m donating or the money could be used for treatments.

I am aiming for $6000! My Mum chose this amount because that’s how much a wig could cost to be made and I hope with your help we can reach this goal.

Hannah’s story on the variety page inspired me to donate my hair
