I'm chopping my 1-metre-long hair and need your help!
I have (finally!) made the decision to cut and donate my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. In addition to the big chop, I will be raising funds for Variety in the process.
I have over 100cm of hair, and I'll be chopping it off in February 2023.
I've set a goal of raising $2,500 to help kids in need. That's about $25 per centimetre. I've been growing my hair for 7 years now, which would also make that roughly $1 a day for growth time. It would be great to send it off with a bang! Help me reach my goal, make a difference, give some sick kids a dope hairdo, and get some kicks out of me having short hair in the process.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

In just over ONE WEEK you—my darling friends, family, colleagues, friends of friends, network and mutuals—have met my initial goal of raising $2500 for cutting off my obscenely long hair.
I am in awe and deeply grateful for this rally of support. My most sincere thanks to each of you.
With just a few weeks or so to go before the big chop I thought I’d up the ante and *raise* my goal by $1000! It’s ambitious and I’m into it. So if you thought you missed the boat on donating, now is your chance!
