Time to lose the locks
Wednesday 15th Jul This year a good friend of mine and his family have been doing it tough after he was diagnosed with a rare and very serious blood disorder. This resulted in many procedures including an intensive burst of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. The prognosis is looking good but he has had to spend a significant amount of time away from his wife and two young boys while undergoing treatment, and more recently the whole family have had to temporarily relocate to Sydney in order for him to be in close proximity to the hospital and medical experts who have been treating him. A side effect of the chemo has been the loss of his hair and huge manly beard. I promised to lose my hair if he lost his and I intend to fulfil that promise. So, after many years with these glorious locks I've decided it's time to part ways with them and donate them so that they can be made into a wig for a child suffering hair loss as a result of a medical condition. In addition, I am aiming to raise a bit of money that will be donated to Variety Australia who do many fantastic things for sick and disadvantaged kids. Please feel free to donate if you are able to.
