I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I’ve made the decision to take the big chop and change lives!

Variety – the Children’s Charity supports kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.

I will be donating my hair to help provide a wig to someone who has lost their hair, as well as raising vital funds for kids in need.

Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

15 years I made a commitment that I was going to grow my hair and donate it. 

Today I’m 60 days away from the big chop. 

Measuring at 150cm only 14cm shorter than me…it’s time!

I would be lying if I said I haven’t seriously thought about cutting it off many years ago but I knew the longer my hair got the more I would have to donate. 

I carefully researched what charity I was going to select. 

Not that many people realise that there are some charities thy won’t take your hair but will only take money raised. 

Variety - Hair with Heart is an amazing charity that will take your hair and money raised. 

I would like to say a huge thank you to those who have sponsored me, encouraged me, and sent messages of kind words. 

Thank you to my husband who combs my hair after I wash it when my arms get tired. 

15 years is a long time to commit to doing something and it’s going to feel very different after the big chop but I’m more than ready…knowing there is a child out there would love to have a pony tail, a braid or just to put clips in their hair like everyone else gives me great joy. 

So save the date for October 22nd as some amazing things are happening in the background with people opening their hearts, wallets and business to raise much needed funds for kids.
