Amelia is chopping her hair and we need your help!
About 18mths ago, Amelia and I were chatting about a close friend who is battling cancer. I explained how the medicine they need to help them, can make their hair fall out. Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the thought of this, she asked "What about kids who have cancer? Do they lose their hair too?" And "what do they do when they don't have any hair?" Our conversation diverted to Wigs for Kids and how children can cut and donate their long hair to make the wigs. When I asked her if this is something she would like to do, she asked if her hair would grow back to being long and then said YES! So fast forward a year and half and she is still growing it for this amazing cause.
She will be chopping off 35.5cm in January 2022
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth.
