Elektra and Stefi are chopping their hair and need your help!
Four years ago Elektra aged 5 at the time donated 35cm of her hair to Hair With Heart after seeing a little girl her own age with no hair. She wanted to give the little girl some of her hair and after a number of months of discussions with her to ensure she knew what was involved she donated her hair.
Donated hair is made into wigs for people suffering from diseases where they lose their hair eg from Cancer.
Elektra and Stefi have been growing their hair since then and will be chopping off approx 20-25cm each next Thursday the 20th of May and donating it to Sustainable Salons who also collect shorter lengths of hair to make into wigs. (Recommended by Hair with Heart)
Having a relative touched by Cancer last year makes this hair donation even more special and important.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000 and last only 1-2 years.
By supporting Elektra and Stefi's chop chop and making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.
