I've chopped my hair!!!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I've already chopped off my hair!! Nearly 40cm of it disappeared on September 6th.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. The Big Chop
Sunday 18th Sep 'Twas an impulsive hair chop a few weeks ago. Went to work one day with hair to my hips, came back the next with over 40cm gone!! Was quite a shock I'd imagine, considering nearly no one knew.It was always the plan to donate my hair the next time I got a large chop, and that's exactly what I'm doing. Given it was such an impulsive chop, the fundraising is following the chop, not happening before it.
