I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off 36cm of my hair on the 14th of December.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

The big day

Monday 14th Dec
Today was the day!!! We chopped my hair off almost 40cm of it. It was very emotional and I was a little unsure when the time came and got a bit upset. I was infront of both year 6 classes and felt my anxiety and the pressure kick in. I really don't like being the centre of attention. So I made a compromise and picked a few if my closest friends to stay and watch me and I DID IT!!!! When I got home we tidied the cut up and I chose to put a mermaid green wash out colour through it. It is in the envelope ready to post.

Friday 6th Nov
A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated, we have made the $600 target I set. But don’t let that stop you, keep up the donations and lets see what we can raise together. You are all amazing!!!! I’ve ended my week with a big smile on my face. I hope this puts a smile on your faces too. Have a great weekend.

Oh my goodness guys in less than 12 hours and with all of your support we are over the half way point of my $600 goal. I’m not cutting until mid December so there is lots of time to smash the $600 goal. Keep sharing the facebook posts with your friends and remind them that every little bit helps!!! Mum and I have been personalising, printing and laminating your certificates of appreciation as a small thank you. I have also written you all a small message on the back from me. ✌️
