Chopping off my pandemic locks!

Hi everyone and happy new year!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition. I've been growing my hair all throughout the pandemic (even a bit before that to be honest) and it's gotten to the point where I need a change and want to do a little bit of good with my new year/new me feelings!!!

I'll be chopping off about 50cm on Saturday 8th Jan 2022!

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

After a couple of months of saying "I should get a hair cut", I've finally booked an appointment for Saturday evening. Very excited for my head to feel like it's 2kg lighter but also it's very cool to know that this hair will go to a kid in need :)
