I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

After visiting my brother in hospital and seeing other sick kids who had lost their hair I decided I wanted to help make a difference!

Mum told me I could could cut and donate my hair so that it can be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

So I have been growing my hair as long as I can and I’ve finally reached the point I'll be able to chop off 36cm during the September school holidays and donate it.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Teleah wants to say a big THANKYOU to everyone who has donated so far to her big chop!

She is so very grateful for all the support and generosity.  

She is now on the final countdown and would  be blown away if she could double her initial goal so that she reaches $1,000.

We will post some pics of her hair so you can see how long it is and where she will be chopping it off .
