Susan's Hair with Heart challenge

I'm chopping my hair need your help!

For a long time, my hair has been a big part of who I am — and the idea of cutting it off honestly feels a little scary. But I’m choosing to do something that matters so much more than how I look.

I’m going to be cutting and donating my hair to help make wigs for kids with cancer. This isn’t my first time donating my hair, but it is my first time turning it into a fundraiser — and I really wanted to make this moment count even more.

I’ve spent a year growing my hair, and now I want it to go toward something meaningful. Cancer affects millions of people every year, and for many patients, hair loss can be one of the most confronting parts of treatment. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to go through that at such a young age — losing your hair on top of everything else. It’s something so visible, and it can really affect how you feel about yourself. A wig can help bring back a sense of confidence, dignity, and normality — and if cutting my hair can help even one child feel a little more like themselves again, then it’s completely worth it.

Alongside donating my hair, I’m also raising money to support children with cancer and their families — helping fund treatment, support services, and research. I’m proud to be supporting Variety – the Children’s Charity, which helps kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with a disability. These services give families strength, hope, and support during such a difficult time, and make a real difference in the lives of young patients.

By supporting me, you’re helping turn a personal act into something much bigger — real, practical support for someone facing cancer. Every donation helps ensure that no child has to go through this journey feeling alone.

This is something that means a lot to me, and I’d be so grateful for any support — whether that’s a donation or simply sharing this page. Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a difference, and it all adds up to something truly meaningful.

Thank you so much for being part of this with me!
