I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I’ve made the decision to take the big chop and change lives!

Variety – the Children’s Charity supports kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.

I will be donating my hair to help provide a wig to someone who has lost their hair, as well as raising vital funds for kids in need.

Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

Some may ask why? Well, why not? To me it’s just hair but to a child it could mean the difference of feeling included, feeling accepted, feeling pretty. It could make a child feel that they look like a prince or princess and every child deserves the right to feel like they fit in.

The Chop is Complete

Tuesday 10th Sep
Well the day has come and gone and the chop is complete. 

A massive thank you to Emma from Haus Of Hair for her time and being so careful with my donation.
 
So we all know I needed  35.5cm to be able to donate, well my longest plaited pony tail is 50cm. We divided the hair into 4 and the shortest being 44cm. 

Super proud of my long hair and difference it will make in someone’s life. 

A massive thank you again to everyone who has donated over the last few weeks we managed to raise $2000!!

THE DATE IS BOOKED!!

Friday 6th Sep
I’m all booked in for the 10th of September. 
I’ll make sure we take lots of photos so you can all see the process and the finished product. 
Only a few days left with my long locks. 

Let’s see if we can get to the $2000 mark in the next few days.

You guys are all amazing! Iv only been fundraising for a day and we have already hit my target. I can not thank you all enough for your generosity. 

I’m thinking we might need to up the stakes and see how much more we can get. 



The Big Chop

Hi all, 

Thanks for visiting. 


So iv decided to do the big chop and donate my hair to help make a wig for a child in need.

On average it takes between 10-20 ponytails to make just one medical-grade wig.

I have to cut a minimum of 35.5cm but here’s hoping for more. 

It’s taken me over 6 years to get my hair to this length but knowing that it can make someone else happy I’ll do it again in another 6 years. 


I’m hoping to raise money along with my hair donation. 

Money raised will help kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.
