It's time to do the big chop!

When I was little, I used to make a wish whenever I caught a dandelion puffball. That wish always used to be to have hair like Rapunzel's (but brown, of course). 17 years later, with hair almost a metre long, I think I have finally come close to achieving that dream, although sadly my hair isn't magic.

Now that I'm older, my dream to have Rapunzel's hair is less important to me than my dream to bring whatever  happiness and peace I can to the world I live in. So, I've finally decided to do the big chop, and hopefully bring a small bit of joy to a family who has faced far greater struggles this year than I could imagine.

I'll be chopping off and donating over 50cm of my hair. Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. 

With the struggles of this year, I'm not asking for, or expecting to raise, any great amount of money, but any donation would be greatly appreciated. I've heard many of you tell me that you would pay me to cut off my hair...well, here's your chance!
