I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off  about 36 cm in early June.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Hair chopped on Wednesday! Barely recognise mysef with this short hair and ferling a bit cool at the back of the neck!  My looks have been posted off and will hopefully, one day, providde a platinum blonde wig for someone.

Nearly time for the chop!

Tuesday 24th May
Over the last year I have been growing my hair in order to donate it to be made into a wig.  I thought it was something practical I could do than others may not do.  Finally it looks like it is long enough!   So sometime soon it will be getting trimmed (NOT shaved, I hasten to add).  It is so long now, it is driving me batty, so it will be good to get rid of it!

It will be a brave and meaningful sacrifice to cut that beautiful hair. Cancer is cruel to women. My beard and hair went during that time and I felt so sorry for women patients.
