I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
I began talking a few years ago about wanting to grow my hair really long, cut it off and donate it to make a difference for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off around 40cm of hair, I'm currently around 37cm, this leaves enough for a short bob style cut. My hair has always been my pride and it's never been shorter than a few inches past my shoulders. I really want to be able to help a child to feel better by having a nice wig whilst they get better and also raising funds for a worthy cause.
This will take place on Sunday 13th March 2022, 3pm at Sheike Tuggeranong
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Thursday 10th Mar I'm so close now, just 3 days to go and I think my mum is more nervous than me. It's funny because she shaved her head for charity and I will still have hair. Mum keeps saying oh but I love your beautiful long hair and she worries about buns for dance, but I'm just soooo excited and thankyou all for your support of me and this worthy charity. Share

Saturday 5th Mar Wow it's really happening now, just one week to go, mum has sectioned my hair and checked all the length meets the requirement.

Sunday 20th Feb Thankyou to everyone who has been supporting me with donations and well wishes, it is feeling so real. Mum has been sectioning off my hair and measuring to make sure I will get the right length and it's all looking ok. I got a bit nervous when she was doing and kept saying, 'no not too short' but this is what I wanted and I'm going to get through it. Then I'm going to grow it out and do it all again. Share

Thursday 10th Feb It's getting closer, but I'm really excited and not at all worried I will change my mind or get upset. I know what I am doing will really help other people and that makes me happy.
Creative hair time
Friday 21st Jan So I'm asking my mum to do all the special hair do's whilst I can, just loved it and kept it in for 4 days!!! Mummy says I'm going to feel a bit shocked when it's all cut off, but I'm excited and planning my new do. The beginning
Tuesday 11th Jan I know it's just the beginning and I still have lots of time, but I'm feeling really excited about my big day in March when I can donate my hair.
