Samantha's Hair with Heart challenge

I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off 35cm in the new year (date to be confirmed when my hair is long enough).

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

The decision to chop

Monday 12th Dec
When I was a child I watched and episode of Oprah Ellen or something like that when they did a special on childhood baldness. On the episode several woman chopped and donated their hair so that wigs could be made for young childhood had no hair. I remember being inspired by the women and deciding to grow my hair out to donate myself.

I'm not really sure what happened to that goal but it seemed to fizzle. Until recently. The desire to chop and donate my hair has struck again.
