A Cut Above: Sisters' Love Shines Through!
In memory of their cherished Dedo (Grandfather), sisters Riley and Charley are preparing to make a heartfelt and transformative gesture.
On Thursday 3rd October - four days before what would have been their beloved Dedo's 80th birthday - they will cut 35cm of their hair and donate it to Hair with Heart so it can be crafted into wigs for children bravely facing cancer or alopecia.
Hair with Heart is the national fundraising and hair donation program run by Variety – the Children’s Charity.
Riley’s journey with Hair with Heart began in 2020 when she cut her hair for the very first time on her 7th birthday and donated it to Hair with Heart. Now, after growing it out, she’s ready to do it all over again - this time, with her sister Charley by her side.
As they fondly recall their Dedo’s legacy, Riley and Charley are determined to pay it forward in a way that honours his memory and brings solace to those in need.
Riley and Charley are kindly seeking donations to support their cause. Any contribution, no matter big or small, will make a tangible difference in providing life-changing support to Variety, which supports kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage, or living with a disability.
