Cut day done!!

Monday 15th Jul So the big cut happened today! Honestly can’t thank my work team enough for all they did to make it happen today! Morning tea with all donations going to Variety and 5 of my colleagues cut it off!! 43cms going off to Variety for wigs and over $1500 so far! What a cracking day for a hair cut 🤣😘 Share

Wednesday 3rd Jul Thanks to all that have donated and/or shared my page! Very much appreciated. Had a few positive things happen since I kicked this off so haven’t updated for a little bit, sorry! Eloped, went on a holiday to the Kimberley’s, moved our middle boy into the place he bought, Sean turned 18 and I’ve accepted a higher level role in a new office! So it’s been a busy couple of months with all amazing things happening for once!  Share

Wigs for kids

Wednesday 8th May Losing your hair can have profound psychological effects, particularly through childhood and adolescence. One specialised wig can cost up to $6,000 and lasts two to three years so the cost is prohibitive for many families. Because of the support from the amazing Hair with Heart community, Variety provides grants for kids across Australia who have lost their hair due to medical conditions such as alopecia, cancer and trichotillomania Share

What does a hair donation do?

Together we can impact young lives in ways you may never have imagined.

Variety supports kids 0-18 who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability through our grants, scholarships and programs.

Variety grants wigs to kids who have lost their hair due to a medical condition, through their wig grant. It allows a child to be fitted for a specialised custom-made real hair, suction wig, that gives them increased confidence and self-esteem in their everyday lives.
