I'm raising funds for disadvantaged children.

While I'm unable to donate my (dyed) hair, I've decided to participate in the #takethechop fundraising campaign with the charity Variety anyway.

On the 14th December I'll be cutting off all my hair! Please help me reach my fundraising goal of $800 for this worthy cause.

Ok, it's happening- new goal of $1500!
I'm completely blown away by all of the support, I originally thought I'd struggle to reach $500! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. With only 3 days to go I'm hoping to get the $250 needed to reach my new goal.

International Day of People with Disability

Thursday 3rd Dec
Today is the International Day of People with Disability.
IDPwD is a United Nations observed day celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
Australia has a longg way to go to becoming an inclusive and accepting society, with people living with disabilities here experiencing significant discrimination in employment, lack of representation in the media, low disability pensions and difficulty accessing crucial support services.
I'm currently raising funds for Variety, a charity that provides support through grants for children and families for things like:
-Mobility equipment and wheelchairs
-Communication devices and education aides
-Medical items and services
-Therapy services, including occupational therapy and music therapy
I'll be cutting all my hair off in 11 days, and only need $114 to get to reach my goal of $700. Please chip in for this worthy cause if you can.
