I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off (insert how many cms/in you'll be donating - min 35.5cm) on (insert the date of your big chop, or an approximate date or month if you're not sure).

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Olivia has had the big chop

Sunday 31st Oct
So on Friday 29th October it finally happened after all this time. Waiting for her hair to be long enough, to waiting for the hairdressers to be open again due to this terrible pandemic we’ve all been in.
She’s absolutely thrilled with the result & is embracing her short hair like a trooper.
We are so very proud of our baby girl she is doing such an amazing thing for this cause

We have a date!
Olivia will be chopping her hair on Friday 29th October YAY!
We have approx 40cm which is what she was hoping for so she’s very happy.
We will be posting the chop live on Facebook, so watch this space

Tuesday 19th Oct
Sorry for the delay but due to Covid we had to put a hold on cutting Liv’s hair obviously.
We will measure Liv’s hair again but we are hoping for around the 40cm mark so we can make an appointment & have it cut in the next week.
Thanks to everyone that has donated already but we hope a few more will help Liv reach her goal for a great cause x

Hi my name is Olivia & I’m 9 years old.
I recently wanted to donate my hair but unfortunately it wasn’t long enough & I was very sad I couldn’t donate it this time but I’ve had a trim on the weekend & it’s approx. 37cm long so next cut I’ll be cutting my hair to donate.
Why am I donating my hair? Cause I want to help other kids that don’t have hair & get bullied for not having any due to a medical condition.
So please support me so I can help give me hair to other kids. Thanks x
