I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off  at least 40cms on Valentine’s Day 14th February 2022 to Hair with Heart.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

My last haircut was in March 2019, just ahead of starting a new job with a the Hair Care team at my company. 

With experts in their field formulating amazing new products, my hair was in good hands. Using the products we made, Shampoos, conditioners, hair masks and oils, I have not needed a hair cut since.

I am so lucky to have no fuss hair, something i can just tie back and forget. In this upside down world, impacted by Covid, I have had even less reason to style, dye, heat, treat, damage. But I feel so overwhelmed by the stories I hear on the job, about how you wear your hair is integral to your identity, and that some children, young adults and others are unable to express themselves because of stereotyping, stigmas, traditions and through illness.

I am hoping my one last tress of non-grey can be used for a special young one and make them shine and build their esteem in the face of illness.

Please help me raise a few dollars towards making this wig. Thank you in advance.
