I'm donating my hair. Can you donate too?
After I started growing my hair about 3 1/2 years ago, I learned that if you grow it long enough, you can donate it to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition like cancer.
My hair is 55cm long now and I'll be cutting it off to donate on 22 December!
Wigs can be really expensive though costing families up to $6,000. And because they only last a few years, families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth.
So I'm not just donating my luscious locks, but also fundraising to try and help these families out.
If you can, please donate to Variety - the Children's Charity, to help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thanks for your help.
