I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off 45cm on Saturday, 21 March .
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

THE BIG CHOP
Monday 23rd Mar
So Saturday was the big chop day where Laura had the support of some special friends and family. After some farewell tears to her hair, her pride and joy, it was time to make the chop. There were some happy tears during the chop but these very quickly turned to big smiles when the new hair doo was seen for the first time! Laura loved it!!
What was even more amazing was having the support of everyone who donated and who helped Laura smash her goal by over $900 - so thank you. Now we are to send the hair off to the wig maker to make the most valuable part of the puzzle.
It was also amazing to learn today about how Laura has influenced other young girls who are now setting their own goals of "growing their hair and donating it"- how amazing !

Educating my School Friends
Tuesday 10th Mar
Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak on parade to share my hair cut news with my school friends. I also got to introduce them to Hannah who is an example of the kids that I have the ability to help with my hair AND with the valuable funds that everyone is donating.
I am totally overwhelmed so far with the support and with just under 2 weeks to go I am already so close to my goal.
However, I am hoping to SMASH this goal. Yesterday I also got my photo taken for the newspaper and the story should be shared online over the next couple of days so I can't wait to see the results from that being shared.
My Mum and Dad are also actively sharing it with all their work friends.
Something that has totally amazed me is the support I have received from my dancing friends - they have raised just over $140 from our Pyjama week lask week where we all went to Ballet in our PJ's. This week we are also raising money through a colouring in competition. I am so gratefuly for the support from my friends.

Laura would love to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that has donated so far. The response in the first 24 hours is so amazing - $750 = half way already!
She was also so excited to learn tonight how her ballet studio is going to get onboard to help her and hopefully will be able to get some things happening at school over the coming weeks too.
Stay tuned - we have huge plans to make the most of this amazing opportunity to make a difference to a child's life!!

My Hair Chop!
Monday 24th Feb
As you would all know, i love my hair and have been growing it for my whole life.
However, it is now long enough for me to be able to make a difference and cut it off to help others in need. I have chosen the Hair with Heart variety club as the funds will be directed to children in need.
