I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off at least 35cm (hopefully) on the 6th of October 2025.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. (2025) Update: New day is likely Friday.
Tuesday 7th Oct I may have not realised the 6th was a public holiday, hah, so that didn't happen. Hair is the right length and booked in for Friday. If i can get in somewhere sooner I may just do that though.. it's getting too hot for spring and long hair! Share

Thursday 3rd Jul 33.5cm at today's measure, apparently we need 36cm not 35cm anymore, so at this rate, another month and a half-ish!. Share

Monday 2nd Jun Looks like my calculations were a bit off (or my hair is growing slower now!?) Still a few CMs short of the 35.5cm minimum length. Currently sitting at ~32cm.

(2022) Moving date forward due to Covid Crazyness
Monday 17th Jan Hey allI can't believe nearly $800 has been donated! A lot more than I had expected.
Due to the number of Covid cases at the moment (about a 25,000% increase from when I initially set the 14th of January as the date!) I've moved the date forward to the 4th of February to minimise the chance of catching that Spicy Cough! This should also let my hair grow another half a cm or so, haha. Share
