I'm chopping my hair and need your help!
On the 11th of May I will be chopping off my hair and donating it to Variety - the Children’s Charity! My hair will be used to make wigs for kids who have lost their hair due to a medical condition. I have been growing my hair for over a year to be able to make this donation.
Variety helps thousands of kids who are sick, disadvantaged, or have disabilities, through various grants and programs including granting wigs to kids that have lost their hair due to a medical condition for example, alopecia. Wigs give kids, like Hannah (https://vimeo.com/173864173), increased confidence and self-esteem so they can feel like themselves again.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. I can personally attest to the incredible support Variety provides Australian children and families ❤️
