The Chop
Wednesday 23rd SepI have made the decision to cut and donate my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I'll be chopping off over 35cm of hair in support of my pop. This is something that hits close to home for our family which is why I have chosen to do the chop on Saturday the 10th of October. This elected weekend was meant to be the Manangatang races, however due to COVID this is no more. This is my pops (and our families) favourite day of the racing calendar so I think this will be pretty special. I know there is a lot going on in the world right now but I appreciate every single donation towards this great cause; no donation is too small.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.
