I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off 40cm on Sunday 27th of February.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

The Big Chop!

Sunday 27th Feb
Today was the day!
We went to the hairdresser today for a final hair wash to make sure it was thoroughly clean before we cut it off. 
We then came home and put it in plaits before we cut it off. Then we finished it with a hair style. It is so different to have short hair after so long. 

My journey

Thursday 10th Feb
I started growing my hair in year 3 with my goal to donate my hair to kids in need. 
Over this time I have kept my goal insight and watched it grow, regardless of what people have said. I wanted to do this for others and now I have finally achieved my goal of growing it to a donatable length of at least 35.5cm!
