I’m finally chopping my hair after 3 years!
I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.
I haven’t had a haircut since early 2018. My hair from top to bottom is 95 centimetres and I’ll be chopping 36 centimetres off my hair in July or August 2021!
This is something that means a lot me, especially when I have someone so dear to me that suffers from Alopecia, as well as losing loved ones to cancer. I’ve wanted to do it for an extremely long time (also inspired by Rebecca Lucas) and what better way than to boost one child’s confidence with a simple donation of hair!
Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth.
