Variety – the Children’s Charity supports kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability.

I have donated my hair to help provide a wig to someone who has lost their hair, as well as raising vital funds for kids in need.

Behind Isobel’s decision

Before Isobel was born her Mum and Granny were both involved in starting a wig library in the Limestone Coast to provide access to expensive wigs for people who required them for health reasons but weren’t in a position to purchase their own. 
This venture turned out to be very important to the family when Isobel was 1 and Granny suddenly required access to a wig while battling breast cancer. Thankfully all turned out well for Granny. 
Isobel’s dream while growing up was to have hair like Rapunzel so other than a trim to keep it health always continued to grow her hair so it came as quite a shock when she announced that she wanted to get it cut shorter. Whilst discussing her decision, Granny suggested that she could donate her hair to make wigs for sick children and Isobel jumped on the idea. She is always very generous and looking for things to donate where ever she can.
