I'm chopping my hair and need your help!

I have made the decision to make a difference by cutting and donating my hair to be made into a wig for someone who has lost their hair due to a medical condition.

I'll be chopping off at least 36cm on the 26th October 2021.

Wigs cost families up to $6,000, lasting 1-2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child’s youth. By making a donation to Variety - the Children's Charity, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need.

Hi Friends & Fam! When we were in our first long covid lockdown, like many of us, I couldn’t head out to a hair salon to cut my hair like I normally would, so I decided to chop it myself. Only by doing so did I realise it could’ve gone to someone in need. Since then, I have been re-growing my hair back and it has now finally reached the required length to have it turned into a wig for children who’ve lost their hair due to cancer or other medical conditions. 

I’m fortunate to have hair which continues to grow back no matter how many times it’s cut, so on the 26th October (in three weeks) I will be chopping off at least 36cm and giving it to a young child who needs it more than I do. 

For my birthday this year, I’ve started a fundraiser and I would really love it if you can help me raise money for ‘Hair with Heart’ children’s charity. Your donation will help towards grants for kids across Australia who have lost their hair due to medical conditions such as alopecia, cancer and trichotillomania.

Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help put a smile on a child’s face and make a difference to their future.
