For as long as I can remember, I’ve been known for my long blonde hair. It’s been part of my identity for years, and I’ve always been lucky enough to have healthy, natural hair that I love.


On 9 August, I’m saying goodbye to around 35cm of it and making the chop back to a bob so I can donate my hair to Hair with Heart and help create wigs for children experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions such as alopecia, cancer and trichotillomania.


While I know hair isn't everything, it can bring a sense of confidence and happiness. If donating mine can help give that feeling to someone else, then it’s an easy decision.


To make the haircut count for even more, I’m also aiming to raise as much as I can to support the incredible work Hair with Heart and Variety do by providing programs and grants that support kids who are sick, living with a disability or experiencing disadvantage.


If you’d like to support the cause, any donation—big or small—would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me make a difference for children experiencing hair loss and giving them the chance to enjoy the confidence and happiness that comes with having hair they love.
