Hari Krishna's Big Chop

I'm donating my hair to children for a good cause and need your help!

I’ve made the decision to take the big chop and change lives. After contributing 2 years of volunteering at Perth Children's Hospital I have directly seen the impact in which the services have on Children's lives and the confidence it brings to little lives and their beloved families. 

Your donation would provide a wig which usually costs around $6000 to make which would cause financial concerns for many families. In our everyday lives not much thought goes into the simple things we take for granted such as hair, teeth, working senses and many more things but do we often consider the ramifications as to if they were affected in some way shape or form. A lot of things such as entering new ventures in life would only happen if we had the courage to pursue them. A lot of which is affected by how we see ourselves and others see us. 

During the course of my degree I had learned about the Philadelphia chromosome which is formed via a translocation event between chromosomes 9 and 22 and can lead to development of Chronic myeloid leukemia. PMID: 32809524. This is one of the many childhood disease which cause hair fall as a symptom. and can thus affect a child's confidence

Anything which you donate will do and will at the very least help the lives of children and give courage and support to face life's obstacles head on.
